Mulu Legesse

ETHIOPIA, ADDIS ABABA

was born and raised in a big family in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia where she spent her childhood having amazing adventures. She believes growing up in such an environment expanded her imagination and increased her creative nature, leading her to eventually becoming an Artist. Her dream came true in 2016 when she joined Ale School of Fine Art and Design, graduating in sculptures in July 2019. Mulu Legesse is a new generation of artists pushing the boundaries of art and exhibitions in Ethiopia.

“My challenge of finding and connecting with my audience is something I enjoy as much as art itself. I have collaborated with filmmakers, musicians, writers and dancers… exploring new artistic views, always trying to capture my emotions while trying to find media that will help me share that feeling with the viewer.”

“ Bought an art piece from Sensul and it lit up my home. My husband and kids are loving the new art. I’m definitely going to buy more art from them.”
