“I recognize the higher power always present, amongst and with us…influenced by nature, human beings, social elements along with questionable politics, culture, economic circumstance in Ethiopia, Africa and worldwide…I gather motivation at every turn. Against the soundscape of jazz music softly playing in my studio to the hidden monastery cave across from my home/studio, I create codified colorful chronicles with the world with my love for art and nature. My aim is to capture the spirit, essence and heritage of my subject and use this as an opportunity for the world to peer into the lives and struggles of people whose stories are yet to be told”.
